The flowers started it
OpalThistle
Opal Thistle began with one drawing of a thistle bloom that didn't look like anything else in my own reference folder — flat, a little precious, more gem than weed. That's the whole shop, really: flat botanical illustration built to actually get used, not just looked at.
Every clipart set here is drawn the same way — clean line work, a real colour palette, nothing borrowed or filtered. I test each one myself before it goes up: does it print sharp, does it sit right on a card, does the transparent background actually behave. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't ship.
This is a small shop and I read every message. If a set doesn't do what you need, tell me — that's usually how the next one gets made.
Made to actually go on a wall
OpalThistleWallArt
I got tired of "printable wall art" that looked great as a thumbnail and disappointing once it was actually framed — flat colours that printed muddy, compositions that only worked at one size. Opal Thistle Wall Art exists to fix that specific problem: every print is built and test-printed before it's listed, at the sizes people actually frame.
The style stays flat and botanical on purpose — clean, a little bold, meant to hold a wall on its own rather than disappear into a gallery arrangement. If a print doesn't look right printed out on regular paper, it doesn't get listed.
It's a small operation — I draw, test, and list everything myself. If a size you need isn't in a listing, ask; it's often an easy add.
Big on purpose
OpalThistlePosters
Most printable art is sized for a shelf. Opal Thistle Posters is the opposite bet — big, bold, flat colour, meant to be the one thing on a wall rather than one of six. Every design starts life as a simple sketch and gets pushed toward scale and contrast until it actually reads from across a room.
Because these are physical prints, not downloads, each poster is printed to order through a proper print partner and shipped straight to you — no lower quality, no shortcuts, just a slightly longer wait than a digital file.
If a size or a colour direction you want isn't listed, ask. Most of what's in the shop started as exactly that kind of message.
Built to actually cut clean
OpalThistleCo
Opal Thistle Co exists because a badly built SVG ruins a project — a stray background layer that shows up as a phantom cut line, a pattern that doesn't quite tile, a file your machine just won't read. This shop is the fix: every cut file is true vector, checked and cleaned before it's listed, and every pattern is tested to actually repeat without a seam.
It's the raw-material half of Opal Thistle — the side for people building something else with what they buy, not hanging it as-is. Sticker sheets, seamless patterns, junk journal kits, and SVGs, all drawn the same flat, botanical way as the rest of the shop family.
If a file doesn't cut clean on your machine, that's on me to fix, not on you to work around — message me and I'll sort it.
